Variko is located in the immediate vicinity of Mount Olympus and is not far from Dion, the ancient city of the Macedonians.
Various campsites, right near the beach await the campers. You can also visit one of the beautiful secluded beaches, which will be found a little north and south of Variko and invite you to undisturbed bathing away from the tourist strongholds.
Variko is located ten kilometers from Katerini, the capital of the prefecture of Pieria, and can be easily reached via the E75 motorway (Variko exit).
